About Háskólabíó

Háskólabíó is a conference and cultural center that offers first class facilities for all kinds of events, conferences and meetings. Over the years Háskólabíó has hosted numerous events and attracted thousands of guests. The building offers six halls customized for meetings and presentations with state-of-the-art voice- and multimedia system. Located across the street we have Radisson Blu Saga Hotel, a 4 star hotel with rooms and suites, restaurants, bars and a lounge. Háskólabíó is within a walking distance from the city center where you can find hotels, restaurants, shops, galleries and transport. The city center is also a starting point for many well-organized expeditions around the incomparable nature of Iceland.

Halls:

Háskólabíó offers first class facilities for all types of events. Wireless internet connection is located in every hall along with high standard equipment for all kinds of presentations.

With its 1000 m² Háskólabíó’s lobby is perfect for both exhibitions and promotions, or for serving refreshments during breaks. Háskólabíó offers excellent accessibility for disabled. Parking is available for our guests.

Located across the street we have Radisson Blu Saga Hotel, a 4 star hotel with rooms and suites, restaurants, bars and a lounge. In addition there are number of highly rated hotels within walking distance from Háskólabíó.

Háskólabíó contains six halls of various sizes. The halls are specially designed for all kind of meetings and presentations. The smallest one seats 23 guests and the largest one 970 guests. The building takes 1.795 guests but has possibilities of expanding its facilities by utilizing other  buildings on the University campus.

Every hall has comfortable seats with drop tables and electric plugs for laptops. Sloping floors provide our guests with the best conditions possible during presentations.
